I know this is probably more of a reblog but I felt it was really important to show math students and teachers. Carl Sagan makes great points about who will be calling the shots in your life and in the real world when it comes to Science and Technology and this clip is less than 3 minutes long.
Ask yourself these questions and then watch the clip. Then think about the questions again in reflection to what Mr. Sagan says.
“Why do I need to learn all this math?”
“When am I ever going to use math in my life?”
“How is this going to affect me now and later?”
“Why should I take the time to learn more than what I already know?”
What do you think?
